He began his athletic journey in the 7th grade and has since achieved remarkable success, including breaking the school records in the 110m hurdles and 4x400m relay. Jake credits his achievements to divine strength, self-belief, supportive coaches, and loved ones. His outstanding performance has earned him a full scholarship to the University of the Incarnate Word, where he plans to continue his athletic career at the Division 1 level and pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology.In addition to track, Jake played varsity football in his junior and senior years, participated in the National Honor Society, and was involved in the Independent Study Mentorship program. He advises fellow students to strive for excellence to pave the way for future successes, emphasizing that hard work fosters confidence and self-belief.Jake’s fondest memory is setting the 4x400m relay record with his team, a testament to teamwork and shared success. He believes that discipline and desire are crucial for success in sports—a lesson instilled by his parents from a young age.
