When I called his name, “Charlie,” he stopped crying and turned toward me.I know he recognized my voice from the countless times I talked to him when he was in the womb.He dozed under the warm light as I gently rubbed his side.And when Charlie startled, he grabbed my hand with both armsAn Epic Love Story Of My Parentstogether, raising four children, welcoming six grandchildren, and cherishing two great- grandchildren. They still live independently and stay active, enjoying trips to the gym, the library, and even Costco or Sam’s for a favorite slice of pizza.
