Outstanding Athlete :Cole PryorCBy Sally Kalosole Pryor is a senior at RonaldReagan High School and a keyplayer on the Varsity Football team, holding the position of running back. He began his football journey in the 4th grade, inspired by his family’s support and the efforts they’ve put into helping him succeed. Throughout his high school career, Cole has earned significant accolades including being named 2x First Team All- District, All-Area, and All-State.In addition to football, Cole is actively involved in the PALS (Peer Assistance and Leadership) program and participates in the track program at school. He plans to continue his athletic and academic pursuits at the Air Force Academy, where he will play football and major in Business.Cole’s advice to fellow students, especially seniors, is that the efforts you make when no one is watching truly set you apart. One of his favorite memories is scoring his first touchdown in Pee Wee football, a moment that marked the beginning of his football passion.A key characteristic Cole believes is essential for success in sports is consistency. He emphasizes the importance of showing up every day and putting in consistent effort, which he practices diligently.Originally from Illinois and born in Atlanta, Cole also engages in track and field, showcasing his versatile athletic talents. He has been playing football since he was five years old, fueled by the inspiration from his parents and his aspiration to play college football. Caleb has notably achieved the 2023 District 28 6A First Team Wide Receiver and the 2022 Offensive Newcomer of the Year titles.In addition to football, Caleb participates in baseball and track at his high school. He has committed to attend The US Air Force Academy, where he will continue his football career. Caleb advises other students at his high school not to take any moment for granted and to savor every experience, as time tends to pass quickly. His favorite memory is from the last game of the 2023 season against Westlake. Despite the loss, the game made a lasting impression on him, emphasizing the importance of commitment to the sport and the process, hard work, and leadership.A fun fact about Caleb is that he has harbored the dream of playing college football since he was a child. Seeing this dream come to fruition is one of the most fulfilling experiences he could ask for. His dedication extends off the field as well, where he excels academically, demonstrating the same level of discipline and determination in his studies as he does in sports. Her athletic journey started in seventh grade in 2021, inspired by her faith in God, her father Bradley Glosser, and her coach Rachel Freeman.In track and field, Theone has excelled, making the top ten fastest all-time list in the 3200 meter run at her school. She is also active in Reagan’s Student2Student program, which helps new students adjust to the school environment by welcoming them, sharing meals, and giving tours. This role is particularly meaningful to Theone, as her experiences as a military child give her insight into the challenges of moving to new places.One of her most treasured memories came during her sophomore year when her team won first place at the district cross country meet. This was the first time a girls’ team coached by Freeman won the district,Theone is not only a great athlete in Cross Country and Track, but also, a talented Ballet Dancer.and it qualified them for the regionals in Corpus Christi.success in cross country. These traits have become a natural part of her approach to races, helping her prepare both mentally and physically.She has a pre-race tradition of sharing a motivational phrase with her team: “If we put our faith, hope, and trust in the Lord, He will renew our strength, and we will soar on eagles’ wings.” This phrase, which she started saying as a freshman, has become a beloved tradition that energizes her and her teammates.Aside from running, Theone is passionate about ballet, which she has been practicing for eight years. Ballet combines her love for grace and strength, allowing her to express herself through each performance.
