Your Body’s Negotiation: Wisdom, Humor, and Hope for This ChapterBYy Michelle Harden, MDour body isn’t trying to sabotage you—it’s just negotiating new terms. Hormones, those tinychemical messengers, have a way of making life feel like a dramatic soap opera: emotions swing wildly, sleep becomes unpredictable, and metabolism sometimes disappears like a magician’s trick. If you’re feeling all this, and then some, you’re not alone. It’s easy to chalk up these changes to “just getting older” or “too much stress,” but beneath the surface, your body is sending important signals. This isn’t a battle; it’s a conversation. When hormones whisper, or sometimes shout...it’s time to listen closely and respond with kindness.Food is one of the most powerful ways to support this dialogue. Nutrient- dense meals rich in healthy fats, fiber, and antioxidants help soothe inflammation and balance your hormones at the cellular level. And your home environment plays a quiet but crucial role.Having the right expert team to guide you through hormone replacement therapy and lifestyle support can make all the difference. Personalized care ensures that you’re not just treating symptoms, but nourishing your whole body and mind for lasting vitality. This chapter isn’t about fading away or(210) 966-459024372 Wilderness Oak San Antonio, TX 78258theprepschools.comRegister for Summer Camp at The PREP School of Stone Oak & Enjoy Field Trips, Fun Activities Outdoor Splash Pad, In-School Visitors & MORE!giving up. Splitting up the family is hard. Everything changes, but the child’s needsstay the same. One of the consequences of divorce is that everyone’s life changes, not just emotionally, but also financially. This can include moving to a smaller house, changing from private to public school and not being able to participate in all the past extra-curricular activities. Making the transition easier for the kids is at the heart of co-parenting.Once the decision for divorce has been made, you and your spouse need to figure out how to keep things status quo for your children during the divorce process. If the kids are in private school, then see what can be done to keep them there for the remainder of the school year. Other options might need to explore for the next school year. This is something that should be calmly discussed and remember to keep the child’s best interest as the focal point.Extra-curriculars also need to be discussed. As we know, these activities can be pricey and take up a lot of time. Extra-curricular are not always split 50/50. However, it is possible that the court can order that the parties split the activities or each gets to pick one activity per semesterComprehensive Eye Carea complete pair of glasses/sunglasses.
