Inspired by her mom, Sahara’s journey includes being a four-year letterman, a starter since her sophomore year, and playing in a freshman-year playoff game. She has also earned honorable mention in her district for two consecutive years.Beyond basketball, Sahara cherishes her time in Reagan’s fashion program, calling it her favorite high school experience. She plans to continue playing basketball at the collegiate level while pursuing a business degree, aiming for a future in financial management.Sahara’s advice to students highlights perspective:“Trust your process and enjoy both the good and bad days. Lean on those who love you—they want your success as much as you do.”One of her favorite basketball memories comes from an early morning tournament stop at QT, where her coach caught her sneaking an Icee, leading to laughter and a lesson about energy crashes.Her keys to success are consistency, passion, and adaptability:“Doing the same things repeatedly leads to improvement. Starting basketball at just six years old, she credits her dad and family for inspiring her to pursue greatness on and off the court.Renata is a three-year letterman and two-year varsity starter. She earned 1st Team Academic All-District and 2nd Team All-District honors during her junior year and has been recognized as a Top Power Forward for 2025 by Lone Star Preps. Beyond basketball, she’s an active member of the National Art Honor Society and a former treasurer of the Alzheimer’s Club.Although she hasn’t committed to a college yet, Renata plans to continue playing basketball at the collegiate level and is considering majors in graphic design or kinesiology.Her advice to fellow students: “Bet on yourself, embrace hard work, and enjoy the journey.” Renata’s favorite basketball memory is making a game-winning shot during her junior year.
