Her journey in track and field began during middle school at Lopez Middle School when she was introduced to jumping, and she’s been passionate about itever since.Inspiration runs deep in her family as herparents’ track and field endeavors funded their college education. Ania is motivated by the sight of her dad’s old track and field letterman hanging in her closet, reminding her of the opportunities the sport can provide.Among her achievements, Ania has been part of the All-District Athletic Academic Team for maintaining an A average in her classes while competing in the district. This marks her third year on the Varsity team, each of which Reagan High School has clinched the district champion title. Ania also serves as the event leader for horizontal jumps, ensuring the smooth operation of the jumping department. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she achieved a perfect score on the AP Art and Design 3D Exam.Ania is actively involved in school activities, including the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, and as an officer for the Science National HonorSociety. As for her college plans, she’s still awaiting responses from various colleges and universities, but the most likely option currently is UT Austin.While Ania’s primary focus for college is academics, she hasn’t ruled out the possibility of continuing her jumping career. She’s keeping her options open and considering trying out as a walk-on for college track teams. Jordyn was only 8 years old when she decided that, instead of receiving gifts on her birthday each year, she would collect them and donate them to little patients at Baptist Children’s Hospital to help brighten their stay during the holiday season. Her collections have grown over the years and Jordyn said she is happy she can give to more children each year.Jordyn said she wants to continue to her tradition for as long as she lives. She said seeing the smiles on the little patients’ faces brings her more joy than any presents could give her each year on her birthday.
