November Brings Performances For Reagan Band SeniorsSubmitted By Danny Cervanteseniors of the Reagan Band step into the last competitions of their accomplished careers thisNovember. This class of 61 musicians, color guard members and band dancers have a great record of achievement over their four seasons at Reagan High School.Starting in 2021, this class performed “The Path” finishing 9th in Indianapolis at the prestigious Bands Of America (BOA) Grand Nationals competition. In 2022, “In Plain Sight” featured a mesmerizing guard performance and earned 6th at UIL State Finals and 3rd at the BOA Super Regional at the Alamodome. “From Chaos” made waves throughout their junior year, earning theReagan Band 7th at UIL State Finals and 5th at the BOA Super Regional.This Fall, the Reagan Band has performed “Fallen” at one BOA Regional Competition in Webster, TX during the first week of October. The senior class led the band to sweep the awards for Best Musical Performance, Best Visual Performance and Best General Effect while finishing first in their class. As “Bandtober” moved on, the Reagan Band performed at the Texas Marching Classic in Round Rock and the UIL Regional Marching Contest.November brings a variety of potential performances for the Reagan Band Seniors, depending on the outcome of UILcompetition. The seniors are guaranteed to perform at the BOA Super Regional on Friday November 8th at the Alamodome.
