Reagan Band Looks Forward To Competition In Bands Of America & UIL MarchingFrancesca LeBleu (Sr.), Tyler Mullins (Sr.), Savannah Carper (Jr.), Issac Joo, (Jr.)OBy Danny Cervantesver the last 25 years, the nationally renowned Reagan Band and Guard has established a legacyof excellence, consistently finishing in the top 7 of UIL State marching competitions. In October, Reagan begins the competitive marching season with a majestic new show entitled “Fallen”. The theme of “Fallen” is that one can only reach their highest potential by rising above adversity. The Reagan Band features senior Tyler Mullins as head drum major, and associate drum majors Savannah Carper and Issac Joo, both juniors, and senior Francesca LeBleu. They are under the direction of new Director of Bands Brett Nelson from Friendswood, TX. He is assisted by returning associate director Tyler Estrada Simon and new associate director Paula Boothman, a recent UT graduate and Longhorn BandCOMPREHENSIVE EYE CARE FOR ALLHealthy Halloween TreatsHBy By Caitlin Ogletree, MS, RDalloween is known for buckets filled with candy and indulgent treats, but there is a way tocelebrate in a healthier way. Incorporating fruits and vegetables, as well as whole grain and high protein options are great ways to make treats both kids and adults will love. Here are a few of my favorite festive, yet healthy, treats.1. Fruit Monsters:Who said fruit can’t be spooky?! Slice apples or bananas and use nut butter to “glue” on googly candy eyes or stick a few raisins and sunflower seeds to create funny faces. These fruit monsters are packed with vitamins, fiber, and healthy fats - perfect for a fun, balanced snack.2. Dark Chocolate-Covered Pretzels:Whole grain pretzels dipped in antioxidant rich dark chocolate make the perfect salty, sweet, and crunchy snack. This classic treat can be dressed up by drizzling some festive sprinkles or chopped nuts on top.3. Pumpkin Yogurt Parfaits:Create a tasty parfait by layering plain Greek yogurt, followed by pumpkin puree (add a little honey if you like it a little sweeter), a dash of cinnamon, and granola. Greek yogurt is loaded with protein, while pumpkin provides fiber and vitamin A. It’s a fun way to satisfy sweet cravings without going overboard on sugar.Getting You Back To The Things You Love, FASTER!Physical Therapy & Sports RehabYour premier physical therapy provider for one -on-one care.www.promotionpt-sa.com5 locations serving San Antonio & surrounding areas 210-257-8272October 2024www.stoneoakhighlights.com7drum major. Veggie Jack-O’-Lanterns:Carve bell peppers into mini jack-o’- lanterns and fill them with a colorful mix of veggies like carrots, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes. Pair these with hummus, or Greek yogurt based ranch dressing for a fun, spooky twist on veggies and dip that encourages kids to eat their veggies!Dr. Chandler R Mann II 20079 Stone Oak Pkwy., Suite 1104 San Antonio, TX 78258(830) 205-2420www.stoneoakvisionsource.com
