Abbey is a seniorat Smithson Valley and will be headed to Abilene Christian University in the fall to study broadcasting, and mass media.Abbey has always had determination in achieving her goals.Abbey started a fashion club at SV and is involved with Incubator and accelerator classes. She has also loved being a baseball manager for SV for the last 3 seasons.She has a love for entrepreneurship, and leadership. Abbey also was a first runner up in Miss San Antonio and was a participant in the Miss Texas teen USA pageant in 2023.Most of all she has faith as big as Texas. HodgeMBy Tiffany Hodgeegan is a graduate of Canyon Lake High School and is one of the hardest working girlswe have known. She pushes herself to accomplish what may seem to be impossible and has a heart that leads her to reach out to care for others. Meghan has been a student athletic trainer all 4 years of high school, been in AVID for 6 years, and participates in the Chick-Fil-A leadership program. Meghan takes pride in working in the community, volunteers at her church and has been on several mission trips. She has an eye for design and loves creating arrangements and signs. Meghan has earned certification in horticulture and plans to use that as she pursues a career working with flowers and plants. Meghan, we love you and are SO very proud of you. Love, mom and dad.Student Council President, National Honor Society Historian, Founder of the Rocket Club, and a NASA High School Aerospace Scholar.She plans to attend Texas A&M, College Station, where she will major in Aerospace Engineering.Chesney has been awarded a Terry Scholarship from the Terry Foundation. As a Terry Scholar, she will receive a renewable completer scholarship to cover the full cost of attendance for up to 8 semesters. Scholars are selected based on demonstrated leadership and academic excellence.Chesney has also received a scholarship from the British American Foundation of Texas (Phillips 66 Women in STEM award). In addition, she earned an award from the Comal County Aggie Moms Club.Chesney will further her leadership skills this summer in Italy though the MSC Conway - Fitzhugh International Honors Leadership Seminar. ONLY 32 incoming freshmen from Texas A&M are chosen each year to participate.BChesney Gaines, from Smithson Valley High School, is graduating Magna Cum Laude. Chesney is theBy Tiffany HodgeMaggie A. HodgeM aggie is a graduate of Memorial Early College High School and is an outstanding person who sets goals for herself and works diligently to achieve those goals. She is a walking example of one who is dedicated and driven to help. She has the strength to persevere. Maggie has helped with organizing and setting up Veteran’s Day Celebrations, received recognition for 4 years of service in her community, and is a member of both the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society. She will receive both her high school diploma and her associate’s degree from Northeast LakeView Community College. Her next step will take her to Tarleton State University where she will be studying animal science. Maggie, we are so proud of you and your hard work and dedication and admire your determination to meet your goals. We love you Kiddo!
